Coinciding with the on-going Olympics in Rio, Hung Hing has also started a couple of fitness challenge / initiatives within the Hong Kong office to promote a healthy workplace.
The first challenge is to complete 360km between 1st August to 31st December 2016. Around 30 employees from different departments has participated in this event.
Another ongoing health initiative is to replace the office desk chair with a yoga ball. Sitting on a chair requires no muscle activity at all and it actually hurts us for a number of reasons. For one, people tend to slouch and use poor posture, and sitting in a chair puts your abs on ‘slack’ and decreases core strength. Using an exercise ball counteracts both of these things.
